Tonight, the swelling of her legs, thighs and bum were just grotesque. Her arms weren't as bad as they are sometimes and her head was okay. Extensive purple stretch marks all over the areas that were swollen. Her body looked kind of puckered from the pressure on tissues, and her skin is tight.

I am looking up everything from Cushing's to lymphedema to kidney failure to fluid retention syndrome to SIADH. She has been under treatment for Lyme until recently.

Anyone have anything to suggest. I am taking her to the MD tomorrow and raising a stink. This is very extreme and ruly grotesque. My daughter is a very pretty, formerly slender girl, who doesn't eat more than 800-1,000 calories/day. She rarely pees even if she drinks a lot.

Her history is well-known to some on this board, it is very long and complicated. She's also had type 1 diabetes since thea ge of 4 (not relevant to the cause of the problem, but affected by the swelling).And now this.

Maybe I should take her to Dr. J? Dr. D isn't treating her, I think he's afraid of the complexity.
 

Have you ever talked to Dr. J?

If you don't get any results tomorrow, you should call Dr. J's office. I would then write the info down and fax it to his office.

I'm sorry your daughter has to go through this.
