Doc mentioned Rocephin shots on my last visit - but can't remember excatly why... Has anyone used it that way, and has it been helpful? I'm on Ketek (which has really knocked me for a loop!)and Bicillin now.
Thanks Beth

The injections do hurt quite a bit but when mixed with Lidocaine, it's not that bad. You have to inject it real slowly though since the pain going down your leg can be a little intense. I did well on it- I loved the fact that it wasn't beating up my gastrointestinal tract along the way! Go for it!

Rocephin shots worked great for me along with Bicillin shots. Make sure you do your shots atleast 2 days in a row.
Mixing the powder with 3cc of Lidocaine works great, I never had any pain at all. have a nurse teach you how to mix the vials and load the syringe and inject yourself.
