Had an appt. with a Dr. W in Norwalk, CT. He's a new LL Neuro in the area. Apparently, he is using the CD57, by ways of training with Burrascano, as a way of guaging whether patients are getting better on Lyme. Apparently, in comparison to AIDS and T Cell count levels, CD57 White Blood Cell levels are found to be low in patients with active chronic Lyme. It is assumed that when these cells return to normal levels, the infection is getting better. If the cell levels show as normal, it might not be the actual Lyme that is the problem, cut a co-infection. Very intersting stuff. Looking forward to getting the results back.

He also said, via Dr. B, that Ketek is the new generation abx that has tested to have some of the best effects with Lyme.

Please search about CD-57 links and threads here. There have been lengthy discussions about what this test actually records. Many MANY people have high NK killer cell counts (That is what the CD57 tests for) and they feel lousy. (like me) and then there are others who have very low counts and feel great. (wish that was me) The test has not been as accurate as they first hoped. If you find out otherwise, PLEASE let us know!

I would go ahead with it anyway, b/c in the long run, they may figure out what the test actaully means and you will have a result to investigate.

Is it possible for the body to ramp up production of NK when it senses the presences of infection and when there is none it reduces the production?
