But it's been a good week for vitamin supplements around here. I just started taking a mix of chelated calcium, magnesium, and zinc, because it helped a lot with sleep. Thanks to this mix, I've been able to cut back to one ambien per night.
But after taking it a week, I noticed there's another unexpected side effect as well. And after reading a heartrending recent post, where someone actually wrote, "What's sex?", I thought maybe you might want to give it a whirl. Couldn't hurt--it costs under $10, and a lot of vitamin companies make it. Hope it works for at least a few of us! Remember, get the chelated version.
Also, I was so surprised that I started doing a little google research, and found this excellent page of information, in case you... I mean, your friend might want to read further on this subject.

Oysters have more zinc per serving than any other food.
So, maybe supplementing zinc is the trick!

After starting doxy and quiting smoking weed I've been in a lot of pain. Wait, let me get the capslock, a LOT of pain. Also I'm unable to sleep. Last night the pain was so bad I was crying a lot, I had watched a movie, read the last 100 pages of a book I was reading, boyfriend was already asleep for hours, and still I couldn't sleep and was in tears from the pain. I'd taken a heavy pain killer and something homepathic that normally helps me sleep. I was so sore I couldn't even get myself a glass of water to take with them, boyfriend had to help me with everything. So then at 2:30 in the morning I really couldn't take it anymore. I woke up my boyfriend and said I needed some weed. So he rolled me one, and I smoked half of it.
Within minutes I felt most of the pain go away (weed really helps with my joint and bone pain, and relaxes sore muscles). And yep, something else woke up right away. But this time it was way worse than normally (and it's not the weed, cause I'm very much used to weed and don't even get stoned, just less pain). I've smoked during the night a couple of times before (without the supplements) but it was never anywhere near as bad as this. Even though I still had a substantial ammount of pain and should've gone right to sleep, I didn't.
I won't get into details but I was a lot more, well, assertive? Energetic? I don't know, but it was weird... Stupid thing was, I still couldn't sleep afterward, not even with the second half of the joint smoked. Never had that problem, maybe it's a doxy side effect? But anyway I think after reading this it sort of makes sense. It hadn't been that long and I can't really think of any other reason for my behaviour.
I guess that explains why there are so many of us with Dutch heritage around the world.
