I'm curious. Has anyone tried Welchol and if so, was it successful at all? Also, did you have any stomach problems from it or any other symptoms? Appreciate any input.

While I was on Ammox/Prob combo my doc prescribed Welchol to help with intestinal issues. Very bloated feeling. Stopped taking after going off ammox.

I went to Welchol when the Questran began tearing my stomach up. Well, the Welchol did the same thing. I don't think I took it very long. I wonder now if it was my gallbladder that couldn't take it.
Are you having problems with it?

I'm not taking Welchol, but my mother is and she had questions about it because for some reason, she has this side effect, where she has to keep going to the bathroom every hour (but not for urinating) and she doesn't know if it's the effect of Welchol, or if she has food poisoning.(She is too sick to post, so I have to do it for her). Doctor put her on Welchol for neuro-toxins. She has a chronic lyme case and has had lyme for nine years so far. we were both thinking about doing hyperbarics, the oxygen chamber because these abxs don't seem to be working alone.
