How many of the Lyme treatments also treat Bartonella? Are there any? Or is Bartonella completely separate in treatment? I was on Levaquin, but for only two weeks. I've been on Zith, Mepron, now on Rocephin, Mino, Tetra, Doxy, Ceftin. I'm afraid that the Bartonella is still sticking around even though my previous blood tests showed it was under control after the two weeks on Levaquin. I'm just wondering if any of these other abx also hit up the Bart.

my llmd put me on levaquin but for 4 months to get rid of my bart not 2 weeks. He added omeprazole because it allows the abx to get better absorved..... I'm getting better. 2 weeks is not enough in my opinion as a bartonella patient that I am.

Keflex only.

Why the Quest Lab test run for Bart of course of course. Initially was a fairly high reading, after the two weeks of Levaquin, normal.
I'm on 6 weeks of Zith right now, so hopefully that will do the job.

MDL offers a PCR for Bartonella and Igenex has an IgG and IgM Bartonella test.
Is the Quest test an IgG antibody test?
Did you mind telling me if your LLMD said Zithromax treats Bartonella? Do you mind telling me your dose?
Thank you.

Quest? I wouldn't rely on that or any other test, as most will show negative when you could still have it.
yes, Rifampin is good...and I agree that 2 wks is probably not enough
