Where can I buy the proper brand of artimesia? Do you experience a herxheimer effect from it?

I have trouble tolerating many meds and supplements.... So I wonder if I could tolerate this,

Thanks for any adivse!

Thanks you! I will definetly start very slowly on this if I decide to do it since it seems like a very powerful herb. Thank you for all the purchasing info!

We've been trying to knock out this WA1 strain for almost two years with standard pharmaceutical measures...Mepron and zith, Biaxin and flagyl, etc....with only half the effect needed. My titres only go down by half....

So artemisinin was my next choice and my doc went along with it...I started with two caps per day in divided doses and built up.

There was an initial herx that was particularly wicked, but it's been tolerable since then. I started alomst three months ago.

The good news is that I feel good for the first time in two years...all the symptoms that I associate with babs are gone...night sweats, headaches, shortness of breath, general lousiness....It's been three weeks of feeling good.

I'll keep it, thank you very much!

Oh yeah,

We added in Ketek and tinidizole six weeks ago...

I didn't want to ignore what those two may be doing as well!

This is interesting as I was just reading about it today and realized that it is another name for wormwood, which is a powerful anti-parasitic.

One of its downfalls though is that it only kills one to two stages of parasite. There are other herbs that work with the others:

Wormwood: kills adults and developmental stages of over 100 parasites
Green Black Walnut Hull: Same
Cloves: kill the eggs

When used in combination this is a really powerful blend because all three stages are killed off. I used them before and it caused some big herxing...and I also passed some liver flukes (eeewwww) so all in all I'd say it was a success.

Hulda Clark has a great cleansing protocol but I just got a tincture ...I think it was from the "Now" company.

Cheers,

Alison

Alison, what is a liver fluke?

Posted by AlisonP (Member # 7771) on :

Oh my gosh, do you really want to know?

*cringes*

Liver flukes are intestinal parasites that resemble small slugs. they can spend their entire life cycle in the human body. I just about died (mostly from terror and grossed-out-ness) when I passed about 6 of them (thank goodness they were dead).

There is so much info on parasites, but suffice it to say there are many many different kinds (um..ascaris, roundworm, tapeworm, hookworm....).

Some places I have read indicate that most people have them, although similarly with Lyme disease, most doctors are igorant about diagnosis, grossly underestimate their presence, and the clinical tests they have to identify them are mostly inaccurate.

They seem to particularly like to infest those bodies that are unhealthy/immune compromised.

Cheers,

Alison

yuk.

Yeah, Alison, supposedly doc HC feels that a fluke parasite in the pancreas causes diabetes. I tried the parasite cleanse program when my blood sugar was a bit elevated.
Not sure if I am just crazy, but I think it helped get the numbers down.
I've been a little high again lately, but I am on the artemisinin, so maybe I just need to add the cloves.

What's left of my green walnut hull tincture is brown now....

But aren't artemisinin and green walnut hull / chinese wormwood basically the same thing?

I know everyone says that artemsinin is more powerful than the artemesia plant....because it's isolated and concentrated but I'd still like to find some plants and grow a crop of my own. With Codex looming in the future I think it's a good idea to be able to produce our own remedies. Plus I've heard that using the plant is best because it has all the consituents inherent in the plant which prevent adverse effects in the body?

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hi Johnny,

They both cover similar ranges as far as life-stages of parasites that they kill, but I know they also have slightly different parasite killing power, or Hulda Clark would have eliminated one of them from her formula. But none of the three are superfluous in my understanding.

Wormwood is a very interesting one too, I've always thought, just because it's also used to make absinthe lol.

I can get more info on these if you like. The cloves are easy because you can just use common kitchen cloves, or you can get a tincture.

Just last night I was able to find the one that I got which is all 3 in one (instead of having to pay for three separate tinctures). It's at nowfoods.com and I forget what it's called exactly, but just type in "walnut" in their search feature.

A.
