It has a lot of new info for me.
I plan to ask my LLMD (he uses abx and alternatives) for his ok to use the herbs.

I saw a post by Oxygenbabe on it recently and picked it up.
Just reading it now and I am really impressed just by the science explained so comprehensively on every aspect of the disease from ticks to cellular intricacies of transmission and immune response..
testing ect as well as a great understanding of the differing views on treatment..and I'm only one quarter through!
I think this book would be excellent for patients and practiotioners not just for herbal protocol interests but for better understanding of the disease.
I'm mega impressed so far.

I am not sure whether I want to start the herbs, I've seen so many herbs come and go in the lyme community, I would like to hear how others do first. Please post here, anybody who tries these.
I started hubby out on 1 pill per day for 1st week.
Am adding in 1 herb per week and not starting all 4 or 5 herbs at once as suggested.
So far Sarsaparilla or smilax for herx reactions and Lyme certainly seems to be crossing into the brain but it may be too strong for hubby -- started this one at 1 capsule 3 times a day for 1 week and now at 2 capsules 3 times per day in 2nd week.
Am adding in Japanese Knotweed for Lyme and Bartonella this week. Took 1 pill so far and it was either bad timing or it really knocked hubby for a loop. Will stick to 1 pill a day on this for 1st week.
I decided to do something radical and stop all antibiotics and just try the herbal route for now. If I can get hubby stabilized in the next month or two then will add in antibiotics of some kind to herbs.
It pretty much came down to go see a new LLMD for some new protocol or switch to a new untried IV antibiotic which we can't really afford right now or do the herbs. It's anyone's guess if I made the right decision, but I'll be posting updates over the next few weeks.
