I've had severe itching on my head and neck all day today. I took a double dose of diflucan per my LLMD and am wondering if maybe I'm dumping yeast?
Symptom is new and I can't figure out why it has appeared. Right now and most times I'm strict about following the yeast diet.

could be yeast. I recently figured out that itching on my scalp was one of my signals that I've got some yeast going on.
How long are you going to be taking the Diflucan??

Have you tried Garlinase? It's anti- just about everything.
Good luck, Nancy

Thank you Lymetoo and Nancy.
Diflucan was given to me by LLMD for 30 days.
Garlinase I've never tried..it's worth looking into.

That's good! If it's yeast, that should take care of it....but keep up the good diet too. Don't slack off. It would be counter-productive.

Bartonella has also caused me to itch. I suspected it was yeast, and did the diflucan, but the itching did not subside. I am now on Levaquin and still have the itching at times, but not as bad.

sorry my post got lost. this could very well be contact dermatitis. i get it in the summer from the heat, and also in the winter. i use one zyrtec and its gone. can also use any antihistamine, benadryl will work just takes longer and makes you tired. get couple of samples of zyrtec from llmd and it will be gone.

This could be an allergy. I just started a new abx a few days back and thought it could be that or something else. My list of allergies is long so that makes sense to me.

My hands and feet itch all the time now. I think it started after I started taking doxy. It is something I have noticed. I wonder if its from dry skin or just some other type of reaction.

I itch like crazy when my yeast gets out of control, and I usually have the itching in my hands and feet, but I have had it all over. It does goes away when I take caprylic acid and nystatin. (Sometimes I forget to take them)

Dr C has both my kids taking diflucan and nystatin for yeast, The diflucan is for systemic yeast and the nystatin is for intestinal yeast. My son had horribles hives and itching the nystatin is the only thing that ever worked.

I sometimes just itch..I know that the first few times I had it that it wasn't yeast. I think it is just the lyme triggering weird nerve sensations.

Like burnbitter, I have random itching that I attribute to nerves. I believe it does not have any other root cause because it often accompanies my other major neurological symptom---involuntary muscle jerking (myoclonus).
The itching is mostly on my face, scalp, arms, and feet. I have had full body itching at times, and it drives me batty! Occasionally, I'll get pin prickly sensations that accompany it.
I have found that tuina (Chinese massage that uses acupuncture points) will cause my face to itch and also ease the itching at times.
