There is a gum called Dry Mouth Gum that is in grocery stores near the toothpaste aisle that some say helps. I've never tried it personally.

Lemon and other juices seem to be okay and are taken by those with CFS, Gulf War syndrome, Fibro, AIDS, etc. In fact, they often mix lemon juice with another juice and add a tablespoon of olive oil.
Grapefruit juice lowers cholesterol...hummm.

I had that taste too. Not just metallic although it is sort of. I thought it also takes like that aftertaste after drinking grapefruit juice.
I think it tends to lessen over time, at least it did for me. Or maybe you get used to it? Not real pleasant but also not the worst thing ever that bitter taste.
Worse is not to have your lyme treated. I think biaxin is a really good drug for Lyme.
Good luck.

Suggestions PLEASE!
BUT it is helping me immensly.
