When it came to photos of Bart rashes/stretch marks, they look exactly like the ones all my boys have.
They all have the marks on their hips/abdomen and under their arms. And the marks look the same on all of them.
I try not to think of everything being related to Lyme or TBD. But these photos are exactly what my boys have.
Could it just be coincidence? My husband nor myself have stretch marks like these.

I would appreciate all opinions here.

You said "older"- I didn't see a date-do you know? Ketek is in the presentation so I guess it can't be too old.
If your boys have them I'd be suspicious.

Okay, I found the main page source of the slide show link and you're right. It appears to be from a 2005 conference (?)

my son had them, with bart on his hips adn knees and he's very thin...no reason for stretch marks on him otherwise thats for sure...once they were treated, they turned white then flesh colored..that's the way they are now..they look like thin scars on his knees and hips...flesh colored now that bart is gone...but they went straight up and down and were all purple and deep grooved into the skin...not even with the skin...kind of indented...
hope htis helps,
Lisa
anyone heard of this?

One of the twins had a tick attachment in 2002, at that time I took him to the doc and put him on Doxy. (He had allready had the stretch marks prior to the bite.) After being on doxy for 6 weeks the marks disappeared. They have since reappeared. He now just started taking mino again. So we will see.
Wow, great presentation and pics. I'd never seen anything like that! I was horrified at some of those.
I think if my child had anything that looked like any of that, I'd have the car running at 5a.m., make a pot of coffee and drag my kid sans p.j.'s out asap and head for Doc J.
Please follow up.
Lisa,
I just saw my llmd a week ago. I take doxy and zith combo and have had improvement in the past two months since I started. Doxy since Jan 05, introduced Zith in May. I suspected babesia after going through all the symptoms listed here by other posters and newbie links.
I was told that they were getting good results with that combo. Don't know about the ceftin. Maybe the ceftin is a bart thing.
Also, did you know you had lyme when you were pregnant, or was it post pregnancy and did your son get it during your pregnancy?
Is there a harmless test I can get from Igenex for my 6.5yr old? I know someone had posted this info approx 2-3 mos. ago.
Appreciate it.
Lisa too
Best,
Karen
I had noticed them on the older boys before, but didn't see them on the youngest until right about the time he started having emotional symptoms.
Don't know when the other two originally got them, don't remember them pre-adolescence on any of the boys so figured it had to do with growth spurts.

Sorry to about your children everyone. Take pictures - it helps doctors, helps with insurance and to document any changes.

I've seen the docs notice them, but they don't say anything. Which is why I figured they must not be that unusual.
I guess I'll have to print up some of those photos and have the boys take them to their docs.
Of course the docs will think I'm nutso.
