I was only tested for Erlichia once-after my LLMD visit. I went back to my LLMD last week-after 1 month for a follow-up and saw the NP. When I asked about my Erlichia test she said I tested negative. Great!

Then I called the office and spoke with a different NP and asked about that test again. She looked at my results, came back to the phone and told me my test had come back positive. HUH??? She said it can also be treated with abx but "let's deal with the LD first." (???)

I'm gonna call the DR tomorrow. I'm already on amoxy and ceftin but shouldn't I be on some doxy for this? I'm afraid I'm gonna get worse and if my tests are pos then should i be getting treated for this at the same time???

Ehrlichiosis is very dangerous. I myself would want it treated ASAP! Don't understand what the NP's thinking is on this?????
