Lately, since Monday, I have a huge increase in thirst plus I have to pee about every half hour.
Maybe urinary tract infection? I have no burning pains etc. Just frequency.
Oh, I'm on doxy 600mg.
Any thoughts anyone?

I would get a call into your PCP & LLMD ASAP to be safe.

I don't have any sweeet craving though. I had a sweet tooth before. Are sweet cravings part of diabetes too? I'm trying to read-up on it now.
I have an appointment with my regular doc on Friday to check stuff out. I'm still waiting for my appoinment with the Lyme dr.
Thanks for these thoughts.

Being thirty and urination ARE.

A simple blood tests is all that is needed. Just a finger prick really. But the more extensive test requires that you eat a syrup like substance and have a regular blood test taken.
Did I mention that those symptoms were happening while I was on the bus from NYC to Boston? Fun stuff.
My blood sugar levels are totally normal in case y'all were wondering.

Maybe your body wants to flush
out toxic stuff--may be nothing
to worry about.
I have been on doxi a long time--
it is strong and works--
I have not had much bad side effect
Except--For me if I have any type
of Citrus-even small amounts--
It makes me Super sun sencitive--
Do a google on- Photo Toxic-
Look for the pictures--
will freek you out--
The reaction can happen Fast-hours-
after eating citrus--so be careful--
I think citrus also makes doxi
not as effective--
I wrote a post called
-Doxi and Citrus equals Pain-
you should read--
Hope this helps--Jay--
I think it could be a lyme/herx thing so don't get too worried. But check your sugar level.
If you're going to have a blood sugar done, ask for the A1C...the 3 month blood sugar test.
I was dx 6 months w/type 2 diabetes using the A1C test before my correct dx of chronic lyme. So I've been having a heck of a time trying to keep blood sugar under control & make any headway with my undx lyme of 34 years prior!
I've always drank alot of water, peed alot, and constant diarrehea thing. They are called irritable bowel & bladder syndrome.
My meds dry me out due to side effects.
I drink 4+, 32 oz. jugs of water a day.

Just a warning - some antibiotics can cause false positive urine sugar results with some strips. I think penicillins and cephalosporins mostly have that problem, not sure about doxy.
Still, it's better to test _blood_ sugar or get an A1C test done so you don't scare yourself unnecessarily.
