I am set to have a deep rooting and scaling done on the top right quad of my jaw. Is there anything the Perio. needs to know he didn't seem to concerned when I told him I had Lyme. He was okay with that fact that I am already on abx. He was going to prescribe some abx before the procedure. ALso, one tooth needs to have a bone graft done. Is there any potential problems with this procedure and Lyme that he might need to know?

I just want to let you know that in my case, having oral surgery was one of the worst decisions of my life. I had the surgery abot a year ago before i knew I had lyme, because I was having headaches and facial pain. I had the bone scraped where my wisdom teeth used to be. Big mistake. I woke up more sick than I ever had been and to this day, I have still not recovered. Granted, I had the surgery because I was sick, but I wasn't sick with what I was having the surgery for. I was sick with lyme, not a single symptom that I had the surgery for was gone, and I woke up with far more problems than I did before the sugerey. This last year since the surgerey has seemed like a nightmare. It is one of the few things in my life I think I would take back if I could. Who knows though.
