Hiker, Dr. LC uses ART as well as addresses all the other aspects of chronic disease, heavy metals, parasites, viruses, emf, geopathics, etc. Samento, etc. is only a very small piece of what he does. He actually addresses healing on all levels.
Take care.

As nearly another year has passed since this thread was last used I am wondering if anybody has continued with the Cowden protocol, alternating between Cumanda, Quina and Samento and if so was there any success?
Thanks
Lil

Wondering if there have been any results, good or bad on this protocol. dr H in California has recommended it to me.

I have an internet friend on another board whose doctor has her on the Cowden protocol. She feels it is working very well.

Cowden's protocol is good. He does ART and looks at all the other factors that need to be addressed: Viruses, fungi, mold, parasites, metals, chemicals, emotions, etc. Dr. K. and Dr. Cowden use the same approach to chronic disease.
He uses LED, Laser Energetic Detoxification, which is a wonderful method to accomplish detox in a much shorter time. Here is a good description by someone (I dont' know). www.comprehensivenaturopathy.com/led.htm
Take care.
P.S. Dr. Cowden may give/publish a general guideline protocol. But All patients have their own individual program as determined by muscle testing, etc. -- everyone has different requirements.

I'm on cumanda and think it is really working , great stuff. I find it is just as potent as abx without the adverse side effects. I tested very well for it through ART testing

I did Cowden for a year. I could never get near his required dose of Samento. The herxing was unbearable. I did all the rest of it as prescribed. I had little result, other than endless hard herxing. I did have improved mood and energy, but that is a normal side-effect of Samento.
However, since I could never get beyond 9 drops of Samento daily, let alone 40 drops, nobody should make any decisions about it based on my experience.

Klutzo and others,
Knowing Dr. Cowden very well, there is a lot he will recommend doing before he puts anyone on meds like Samento or any heavy duty agents. Cleaning up the "nfrastructur"is of major importance to him thereby avoiding and/or minimizing crashes or herxheimers.
He absolutely is of the opinion that the exit route has to be clean, totally clean (more than just a colonic here and there). There are different ways he accomplishes that - depending on the condition of the patient - and I don't have time for details right now. I have talked about many of them.
Take care.

Gigi, Thanks for that clarification. For the majority of us who will never be able to see Dr. Cowden, I wish he would revise his protocol paper so that we would have the entire thing, including the cleansing he prescribes prior to starting the program. I had the protocol posted on my refrigerator, so I could follow it, and I wasted a lot of time and money thinking I was doing it right. I wish I had known.
