However, mino and doxy both treat lyme, so either is a good choice. Hiker

Kathy, I had ehrlichiosis. I had chills that I almost couldn't control. I was shaking the whole bed. My temp went up to 105. I was so tired I couldn't move. I started doxy and started to get better. But I still get so tired if I do alot. There is no information out that really explains this disease. I do know it affects all of the major organs. I was on a heart monitor for a week, plus all the other tests that require large needles. I had this a month and a half ago. I wish someone had info on the lasting effects of this tick thing.
When my husband was treated for Ehrlichiosis, he took 300 mg of doxy a day for four months. He might have gotten by with three months, but he wanted to play it safe and opted to take it a little longer. This seemed to work for him.
Irongoat - he also had terrible chills and fevers as well as other symptoms. It takes a while to get over the fatigue once the antibiotics are stopped.
Best wishes - Debbie/RI
