Hi Guys:

Hadn't posted in a while due to relocating from CT. down to Va. I actually was making good progress pulsing Tetra. But, I kinda hit a wall here recently

Soooo....Dr. P. has put me on the Plaq / Biaxin combo.....I almost forgot what a herx felt like and it has decided to focus on my right ankle (severe arthritic pain) along with usual blasted symptoms

Wondering what some of you have done to mask or get rid of the nasty metalic taste that Biaxin causes?

Bottom line for those of you struggling...prograss can be made even if it's ever so slowly! BTW, I've been battling this for about 10 years.

Thanks again for all the support!

Dave

I agree about the taste. Don't have any solution to help get rid of it, though.

And I also felt it in my knees after a couple of days of Biaxin, like yourself.

Mom's LLMD recommends "something cinnamon" to kill the biaxin taste.

Mom's allergic to cinnamon, so she's been using Altoids.

Says it's better than nothing.

I have a sugar-free popsicle, especially if I wake up at night. The coolness lasts long enough for me to get back to sleep.
