My daughter woke up with a rash. To me it looks like a typical bullseye. I had lyme for seven years and the rash I got was not the typical bullseye. I passed lyme onto my unborn child ( this daughter) after three years of treatment with DR. J. she is fine!
That has been five years now. However, today she woke up with this rash and I am freaking out!
Called Dr. and he can't see her till wed. By then rash may be gone! If anyone can take a look at this and tell me what you all think I would appriciate it... I guess you would have to email me to see the pic.

First off its good that you have the picture of the rash keep it for the Dr. He will want to see it especially if it is gone by the time you go.

Is your daughter showing any other signs of lyme? It is possible for the rash to come back out even after treatment and yrs. I am new to this. But since my son was diagnosed and has been sick I am not working like I use to. Most of my time is spent on him and researching all I can about this awful disease.

I emailed you so I could see the pic of the rash.

YES! Please be sure to take pictures of it! Use a ruler or a coin for measurement next to it. You might also want to place a newspaper with the date next to one pic.

here are pics of rashes

Col,
The rash appears to be a bullseye.
Sorry. [Frown]

I agree. We have an appointment with our family Dr. on Tuesday. See what he says. If he will follow where I want the labs sent ect... If I get nowhere with him it's on to DR. J. again.

The antibody tests (Western Blot, Elisa, C6) will not usually be positive at the time of the rash.

With a bull's eye rash, tests for Lyme are not needed to confirm because the rash alone is diagnostic.

If it were my child I'd want doxy at 400 mg/day, divided doses, yesterday.

You may prefer to spend your $ testing for co-infections.
