Just added doxy to the biaxin and plaquinel that I have been on for 3 months. Started four days ago.

Not to much change in the 3 months, only less exhaustion, which is good as far as it goes.

Can I expect to herx? or any other side effects of interest?

Hi Janey! You can always expect a herx when a new med is started.

side effects....watch out for your stomach! don't lie down for at least 30 min after taking the doxy.

Hi Janeymae,

I'm on doxy and my LLMD said to not only take it with food to preserve your stomach but to drink a full glass of water. He said the receptors that are aggravated are at the top of your stomach so make sure it gets way down. And don't lie down as lymetoo said. Since I have done this I've had no problem. Best of luck.
