Ok I had just had my Cholesterol checked and tryglycerates(sp) checked and the Try. came back really high. So I am on Zocor and will be rechecked in 1 month. Does Lyme effect this? [Big Grin]

Not sure.... but Zocor will likely add to your woes. I found diet to be the best thing for lowering my triglycerides. Went from 1,460 to 170 in 3 weeks of closely following the yeast-free diet.

Yes, I have heard that late stage lyme can cause high cholesterol and a bad ratio of hdl's to ldl's. Burrascano mentions it here; http://www.ottermusic.com/lyme/articles/indicators.html

I have been on zocor for a year. I have to say it is amazing for me. Some people can lower theirs with diet and exercise I don't happen to be one of them. I have tried niacin and exercise and a strict diets and no change except maybe a slight elevation.

After one month on zocor my total chol went from 269 to 141. My tri. went from 239 to 122. My ldl's went from 159 to 75 and my hdl's went from 45 to 54. No side effects or negative liver tests either.
