Does anyone here sometimes wake up with a puffy eye, face fingers etc? I do sometime and I am going crazy

Yes, and I hate it!!!
Sometimes certain medications can do it.
I know for me NSAIDS (ibuprofen) make me puffy.
Also chinese food.
Maybe part of it is age....but I'm not that old!
I don't remember ever seeing puffiness as a Lyme symptom, but maybe?
Take care, Joy

Yes, not so much recently, but before my diagnosis and starting any treatment, it was a daily thing. Felt like I had log-arms and log-legs also.

Yes, I do too. Sometimes my eyes are puffy from sinus trouble and allergies which now in the midwest is H*** for me. Lyme has caused major cardiac symptoms which includes blood pressure. I notice I'm puffed up after chinese food, which I have given up, not drinking enough water, slow lymphatic system. My acupuncturist has done a fantastic job of helping me with allergies and often focuses on the kidneys which regulate water in the body. I'm still very new and learning but this has been some of my experiences. Posted by hatsnscarfs (Member # 6562) on :
Yes, but less often than before Lyme treatment.
Quitting coffee helped and also not eating out much (due to my limited diet). I think salty restaurant food was a culprit too. hats

your Sx seem to be thyroid-related, at least in part, due to lyme, and perhaps other TBDs, affect thyroid funcioning.
thyroid panel in a healthy person infected with borrelia is: Levels of T4 = high by faulty activation; T3 = low; TSH = normal (Dr. B., last i read).

get more than one check off list for thyroid Sx, as i found none are all-inclusive.

I think this is due to the herx and the release of toxins and histamines.
My doc has me weigh every day to see the weight difference when I herx. So I know I'm really herxing when I'm puffy.
If it is thyroid related do I need more cytomel or levoxyl?

My teen daughter was very puffy when she first got sick. Her face was the worse spot. SHe gets puffy in her face when she is bad or a herx. It is so noticable I can tell before I wake her up that she is puffy and will be having a bad day.

I wake up puffy the day after injecting with bicillin. Don't know the reason for it.
