Hi, My stomache is mess as well. The only things I find that really work are papyay tablets and aloe vera with juice and gel combined. The meds don't really work very well. I am sorry for your pain. A nurse told me to eat a little every 3 hours to keep the acid from building up. Good Luck, Blessings, Marblenose

I sooooo know how you feel!! I have terrible stomach pain and the antibiotics only seem to make it worse right now-for me. I hear aloe vera juice works as well. Haven't some of you on here been taking Coconut Oil--does that help for stomach problems too? That might be something else to consider.

What about Nexium? It doesn't interfere with antibiotics, does it? You can get it OTC, now. Ann - OH

I hate being nauseated. I use a prescription medicine called Phenergan or the generic promethazine.
My son uses Zantac for his stomach problems. For him it is better because it has anti histamine action.
Hope you feel better soon. Karen

May I suggest Super Critical Omega 7 mfrd. by New Chapter? (Yes, 7, not 3, 6 or 9).
It rebuilds the lining of the gi tract and mucous membranes.
My stomach was TRASHED. I lost 50 lbs because nothing would stay in me. This stuff's amazing. Made from SeaBuckthorne and rosemary. I still take 1 a day. Many of us have leaky gut from yeast (and don't realize it). Omega 7 helps rebuild and repair. Give it about 10 days - you won't believe the difference.
You can find it quickly at www.vitaminshoppe.com Search Super Critical Omega 7

Glad I could help. I had this cleared by LLMD before taking. There's a cautionary post up on page 1 now - things that I was not aware of....
I've been taking for over a year now (1 1/2 years). IBS runs in my family - my sister (a nurse) now takes it too and swears her stomach is lead - she can eat anything (and so can I).
Andie, doing very very well now that I do IM Mag once a week. Completely normal.
Keep on keepin' on!! Posted by 5dana8 (Member # 7935) on :
thanks so much lymeinhell for posting the cautionary warnings on super critical,I am still gonna give it a try but now what warning signs to look for. Best wishes dana

You may want to consider working with a wholistic practioner (lyme aware)who will help you rebuild your gut health (lining, beneficial flora etc).
This is the direction I would pursue. Best wishes.

Try an Rx for Carafate/sucralfate it coats teh lining of your stomach. Prevacid and other proton pump inhibitors may be an idea as well. Ranitidine (Zantac) works well too. You can take 300 mg twice daily, or 4 of the 150 mg Zantac OTC. Ginger root helps tummies, as does chamomile tea and taking a break from oral antibiotics and switching to a med like Bicillin LA. Bicillin is injected 1-3 times a week in your butt and you can do the shots yourself. Posted by 5dana8 (Member # 7935) on :
wild condor thanks so much for your advice about the med to coat the stomche lining!I will try. P.S. three years ago durning a bad relaspe you helped me alot via e-mail at your wbb site to help me find a LLD and i was really going down hill ast. I found Dr. J in NC> He is really good and within spitting distance. You where so helpful at he time ,believe it or not i still pray for you every night.(I am not a religous zelot) But I hope you are doing well and having some quality times. Thanks again dana
