This is probably not a new topic but I tested positive for Lymes and started treatment with Doxycycline 100mg 2 weeks ago. I have had double vision for about a month and the eye doctor feels it is Lyme related. Has anyone else here had the doublevision? And how long did it take to go back to normal?
Thanks,
Ray

Can't say when it will go back to normal, but a number of lymies have had this symptom. Lots of eye symptoms with lyme (and some with co-infections, like bartonella).

Yes, I had double vision, and it's slowly disappeared as I've gotten better. Getting rid of the Babesia really helped me. A lot of this double vision stuff is due to Lyme neurotoxins, which interfere with contrast sensitivity in your very sensitive optic nerves.

You can read about this at Dr. S's site, and then take a very inexpensive online test to track your vision improvement.

I get horrible eye problems. I hate it!! Right now my eyes are blurry too and I just started treatment 2 weeks ago again. Hang in there though.

I have some minor eye problems too.
- Can't stand any bright light, or just general light. If I stand outside I can not look ystraight in front of me all the time, and I am not talking about looking directly into the sun. Even on a cloudy day this is the case, I have to look down in order for my eyes to be comfortable. I have this constantly.
- Double vision: I get this sometimes when I turn my eyes. I seems that one eye kind of stays behind and takes a few seconds to adjust. This comes and goes every few weeks or months.
- Floaters: a lot of them constantly, had them before I fell ill as well.
- Pain / pressure feeling on eyes. This comes and goes every few weeks or months.

Good news is, that it seems to have lessened somewhat, I have been treated for almost a year now and I am quite hopefull that it will go away completely...

Ciao
