IMLYMED,, the foods that all LLMD's seem to agree and tell you to avoid are the carbohydrates they feed the Lyme bugs.. Anyone else want to jump in here,,, Linda D

When Dr's tell their patients to eat low carb, they don't mean ALL carbs. They are talking about simple carbs from cakes, cookies, pies, candy, crackers, breads, pastas, and so on. Most veggies and fruits have a good amount of carbs in them also, but they are complex, and are good for you. IMO fruits should be avoided also because of their sugar content, esp while on abx to help prevent yeast problems.

Make sure to take the Mepron with something fatty - peanut butter on crackers or a piece of fruit or rice cake, ice cream or whole milk, eggs, etc. That helps it be absorbed better and it's pretty important to make it as effective as possible.
It takes a while to develop what you like to eat that is healthy. If you take it slow you will get there. IMHO you have to start to chane yur diet to get healthy. Go organic as much as possible.
Take your mepron with fish oil ........ itis a healthy fat. The fish oil will help with the brain fog and the pain. There are many here who eat healthy and can give you ideas. Just ask around.
