Hey Guys, I notice in my urine all these little floating things...I think they look like worm like strands of some sort, maybe, something like that...Sometimes it burns a bit, not ofetn, not badly... I pee in a bottle at times, then look to see if there is anything in there...Plus, it keeps me from having to walk up the stairs.
What do you think?
Thanks, Rob

Well - I think I would pee in whatever I could find handy IF it meant I didn't have to climb stairs, too!
As far as your mystery elements -- remember that song that goes: "Things that make you go...hmmmmm..." ??
Sometimes I see little floaty stuff when I'm giving a sample at the doc's office and I think for sure they're going to call me in later with some full scale urine ALERT!
So far...NOTHING. NADA. And naturally, when I go for my follow/up visit a month later I always forget that my urine had had the floaty stuff in it - because - I have Lyme and my memory sucks.
If you are concerned about it AND because I think you said it is painful - you should definitely bring that to your doc's attention. Take him/her a bottle of pee. It will be a delightful experience for both of you, I'm sure.
Bladder problems can certainly accompany the LD - as I have interstitial cystitis too - the most EVIL of all bladder diseases - so evil you should get on your knees and pray you never get it.
Good luck Boston Rob,

You can buy multistix urine test strips without a script-I think Bayer is the manufacturer-
you may wish to check your urine

I've found it really helpful. When I started treatment, my daily tests all read: danger, call your doctor. Now, I'm in the moderate to good range.
For me, that's good progress.

Ok,, since we are on this subject .. HMMMMMMMM.. I have also noticed these strange and pecular things in my pee too.. they are like whitish looking correct...I always hoped they were the bugs fleeting!
now for my question? My urine is turning a nice orange shade is this healthy? And I dont eat lots of carrots so don't throw that at me it won't work!
It used to be very pale and almost clear .. but the past 4 or 5 months it is becoming very dark.. I used to only have to go once or twice a day.. but more recently I go like 5 or 6 times a day.. any thoughts here? Posted by Kimmi_K_75 (Member # 7438) on :
would it have anything to do with detoxing?

Yrs,Yrs ago before I knew I had lyme, I was seeing a Nutritionalist (who could cure cancer!) After 10mo of treating me (and not getting better) He said "I wish you had cancer, I could get you well" So I moved on down the road.......
But he would tell me that cloudy urine was a sign of "leaky gut" and would have me take UltraClear or NurtiClear for this.

Abx, supplements and certain foods can change the color of your urine.
Definitely check with your llmd.
I remember at the lyme conference in February one of the speakers (llmd) said that lyme loves the brain, heart and bladder. I've had problems with all three since coming down with an active infection. However, I've never noticed anything in my urine.
Another thought, strands that come out sounds vaguely like Morgellon's, a co-infection that affects the skin.
