Hi all,

Can someone direct me to a list of the different classifications of meds - cephalosporins, etc., and what they target in terms of treating LD - if such a database exists.

I've only been able to find info. in bits and pieces and am getting confused!

I don't know what med. is in which class and therefore don't know which ones might inhibit others or cause other negative effects and which ones work synergistically.

I know these are questions for my doc but they charge me $$ every time I call so I'm trying to get answers here first.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure how much detail you need, but info in "Diag Hints & Treatment Guidelines..." may help.

www.ilads.org/burrascano_0905.html
page 13-16: "Treating Lyme Borreliosis"

This is the newest edition - revised in Sept 2005.
If you don't have a copy, I recommend you print one. It's about 40 pages long.

It's a good idea to do your own research to save $$$, but it's also important to learn all you can about all aspects of Tick-Borne Diseases (TBDs).

The more you know & understand, the better you can work with your dr.

Thanks cbb,

I read Dr.B's guidelines. They're also the fifteenth edition guidelines but are for '2005' and copyright dated July 2005.

These guidelines have really helped me.
