Hi, I am in the process of doing this testing involving the anti-biotics for 5 days. My results won't be faxed to my doc until as long as 14 days though!!! Should I demand to stay on the anti-biotics. I figure another 2 weeks on it certainly won't kill me even if I'm negative but otherwise..I'm no rocket scientist but wouldn't a 14 day lapse of anti-biotics if I was positive for Lyme, consist of total ANTI-BIOTIC RESISTANCE. This sounds like a disturbing way to start treatment that would only lead to serious problems. Depends on your symptoms, history, other test results, etc. I don't think that stopping for 2 weeks is likely to be highly problematic but again depends on what you think you have and what your clinical picture is.

Stay on the antibiotics yes!!! Is this the test? Lyme DOT-BLOT Assay for Antigen (LDA)? If it is you should be on a high dose abx's during that and a Western Blot also.
Is your Dr a LLMD?
In this post I really dont know your history tick bite? or just all the symptoms of lyme ? How Long symptoms? etc.

If you had a recent tick bite, then it's EXTREMELY important to remain on the abx. There won't be a problem with resistance if this is a recent tick bite. However, you have a decreased chance of full recovery if you don't attack it aggressively right NOW.
Is this the only test your having done? You really need to have a Western Blot....preferably by Igenex Labs in CA.
