I am currently undergoing Isagenix testing so no formal diagnosis but I do remember a distinctive bull's eye rash four months ago and along with joint issues, I am now experiencing neuropathic pain in the hands and feet, which I hear are somewhat common for Lyme. But.. I have a weird heaviness/ numbness in my tongue alot of the time. I can still move it around fine though but couldn't find tongue issues other than candida anywhere in the Lyme boards. I was checked out by a neuro 2 months ago so if no-one else had ever had tongue issues other than candida- I guess I'll be back to the BFS board for now (benign cramp fasciculation syndrome) that can cause weird tongue issues. It's just hard waiting for results as I'm sure many can relate to.

I had tongue numbness in the beginning of my treatment. It always lasted only a few days but came back several times. Sometimes, at the same time, also the roof of my mouth went numb.
It had nothing to do with candida but came as a Herxheimer reaction to the antibiotics which is a clear sign that it is Lyme related.
I heard from others who had the same problem.

I had wierd tongue problems when all of my symptoms started. My tongue felt swollen and made it difficult to eat...it was a weird sensation. I went to the ER a few times and of course they could see nothing. Then my Dr gave me zmax and i had severe numb mouth and throat it was scary and horrible...that lasted a week...
Now my mouth is just dry and my tongue sometimes feels rough in my mouth...
so, yes i had the tongue problems.

Hi,
I have 2 tongue issues. First is it's swollen, which I think is yeast. (Halloween candy)
Talking take effort somehow for me to talk and it can be a little slurred. My lyme dr. says it is a good sign that my symptoms are travelling around...death to ketes.
Hope you get some relief.

My tongue twitches sometimes. Not the whole tongue, just the center or one side. My LLMD had never seen this one before.
