Hi all,
To any of my fellow muscle twitchers that have experienced trouble swallowing...
Did you notice alot of twitching in/around the neck where the muscles were having trouble? I am noticing this the last few days and it's freaking me out badly. Scary stuff.

It does make physical sense in that the muscles that are having trouble are the ones that would twitch, but I get twitches all over the place as well.

Also, my anxiety is so high right now I can barely stand it, so that surely isn't helping things. My symptoms definitely flare when I'm freaking. Anyone?

As always, thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Kenny

Hi Kenny - I too was a choker. For almost a year, I was on a liquid and then soft food diet. I was finally sent for an esophogal test where they put a tube down your throat and see what's happening with your esophogas and stomach. Apparently my esophogas had narrowed (who knows why) and the tube stretched it back out.

But now I still have to watch myself .... I choke very easily if I'm the least bit tired. And that is scary stuff as I live alone.

Right now ....... every four months .... I am getting Botox shots in my neck because I have neck tremors (Cervical Dystonia) so bad that my head shakes all over the place. The botox shots paralyze my neck muscles and I hoped it might also help with my choking, but it hasn't.

Sorry I couldn't have been any more help,
Deb

Howdy,

I am a fellow twitcher, problem swallower. I had experienced these symptoms for 18 years. I have now almost completely recovered.

You need to be tested/evaluated for Bartonella. This bacteria lives in the lymph nodes of your neck.

Keep on, keepin' on
