not for worms but for symtoms of Lyme! I had a horrible itchy rash since a teen.. I used to use hydrocortizone cream which stopped working a few years ago..
I tried everything since then and nothing has helped if anything most substance has made the itch turn to burn and then itch even worse than before.. finally stumbling onto this article in regard to a method of teating scabies I figured I had little to loose but the itchy rash ..
in any event I don't know if it was a new purchase of hydrocortizone cream that worked or whther it was in fact the Ivermectin...can't be too bad if they tried to control the spread of Lyme in Deer by using it and only stopped using it because it caused the deer to become more fertile.. go figure! since Bb is known to screw up the hormones.. Cure or Quack.. ??? I know I am going to repeat this in a year to make sure I don't get this relapse of itching again!
Do not try this unless you are certain of how much to use .... overdosing can cause a rash, headache and someother symtpoms.. read up first! Vets use it on animals and MD's have used it on people too.. so what the hay!!

I have had indirect contact with it for years and never did anything for me. It is hard to apply without getting 'some' on ya. I think I would be real careful because it CAN make you sick, real sick!! or would that be an OD??? I have thought of this fo quite awhile but just never worked up the gumption to do it , YET!!!. Exactly what is it supposed to do??? Just for the dim witted here , --just don--

Just don, as for what it can do for ya... Not sure, but it didnt hurt me. I thought maybe I had scabies and since I can't afford medical treatment right now I tried to figure a way to rid myself of them without seeking an MD.. I have had many years of IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) not sure if this has taken care of that too but hey I'm game if it does resolve it ..
hey people used to treat themselves at home many, many years ago without the aid of physicians and they survived.. people never used to take their animals to Vets either ,,, who knows how they managed since everyone now takes their pets to vets without a second thought.. but hey .. I'm at a loss as to what else to do since we are in limbo with a means to find treatment...
as for administration of ivermectin...you don't inject it; you drink it.. in a solution of something like orange juice or soda which was recommended for canines since they ususally can detect other substances that are not food related soda and orange juice tend to hide the taste and odor that certain meds produce.

The kind I use on animals is the pour on type. Is that the type you drink? Other animal way is to inject it. My aminals wont drink on demand. Member the old saying "You can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink". I dont have horses but same principle applys. So why couldnt you pour on yourself or inject like an animal??? Course drinking sounds more pleasant because obviously it burns a little bit otherwise. (Must have a little alcohol base) They dont like it but it does make them feel better. And more fertile deer, sure, without a load of parasites that would surely be true!!! cuz I B --just don--

LOL don you are too funny,, I think they basically sell it in a vial for injection purposes. I just don't like the idea of injections unless a professional does it. drinking is more appealing..for me anyways.. I imagine the pour on type woudl work fine on just the skin condition ,, but im looking at the blood concentrate levels:
if ingested it certainly is more likely to be absorbed by all unwelcome preditors..I hate this illness and I don't like free loaders.. I think my body has enough to contend with without it being used as a HOTEL FOR PESTS... so all pests can die in my opinion...

wow...you mentioned IBS...most people i know that have been dx w/ IBS...on further testing have been found to have Celeix (no that's not spelled right)...allergie to wheat (gluten)..check further....

Yes I did the Ivermectin waaay back in the beginning when a very well known dermatologist diagnosed me with scabies...I now know that it was the neurological lyme that was eating me away.
And I also believe that there are many sufferers on the scabies board that are actually lyme patients.
It did nothing for the symptoms if that is your question.

Tried vinegar, Tried aveeno, Tried bonds medicated powder, Tried absorbine Jr., Tried alcohol, Tried bag balm, Tried whitch Hazel, Tried Benadryl, Tried anti itch cream, Tried bactrim, Tried grape seed extract, Tried Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate cream, Triedammonium Lactate 12 %, finally to use the Ivermectin and it finally is under control not constant and bearly noticable and it is a week after using it.. I am impressed, since I would spend all day focused on the itch that was driving me nuts.. and I could not find anything that would help resolve it ..
then what was my itching from? maybe it isnt something that most would try but hey after suffering for over 20 years with a chronic itch that no one could help get rid of this finally did it.. I will admitt that the itch was not as seevre the first 10 or 15 years but the last 5 years I tell you it was more than enough of an itch for a life time of itching..
GLAD TO BE RID OF IT finally! relief at last.. so maybe not for a mild and intermitant itch but one that it chronic and constant and won't go away with any of the above listed remedies which I may be missing a few.. but that is most of the list...... it is well worth the try in my opinion..

Ivermectin is very strong,i used it on my beagles. It kept heartworm away.BUT it would also kill ticks,and fleas if they bit the hound.I would pull embeded dead dried up ticks off them,and the vet said the ivermectin killed them. You can get ivermectin paste,in pig wormer. What form do you use and where do you get it.
