Just got back from Doc's (after sleeping for a day!) EVERYjoint in my body hurts!
I need to vent for 1 min. I had a WONDERFUL Trip E-X-C-E-P-T for I-80 here in PA...What A Nightmare!!The adjoining states were Great, though. (O.K., done venting...)
Doc read my full-body MRI...Lymies living in my neck! That explains my neck falling back like a Pez Dispenser & trips to ER for that reason.
I'm not mentioning who I'm seeing right now. I just started the German Protocol today & I'll keep everyone posted. Doc is having me take "baby steps". I'm taking 200mgs. of Diflucan & I'll be taking Tini in a couple months. ~Reno

Tini can be obtained from any pharmacy. Let them know in advance in case they have to order. Not hard to get.
I've never heard of an MRI showing spirochetes. Can you elaborate on what he saw?

Hi Scott, I was just as amazed as you, but I was also amazed when the results came back from the Radiologist stating Demyelination from Chronic Lyme...HOW?
Thanx 4 the advice! I didn't research Tini yet, but I thought it was the one a person couldn't get in this Country. ~Reno P.S. Doc has had a 2/3 success rate on the GP.

Hi Reno,
You will have to have it compounded...I got mine at a compounding pharmacy in chatham NJ called liberty compounding it's a pharmacy as well.
They will ask you to fax them the Rx and then they will UPS the meds if you like....It will save you the trip and they arrive in about a day or two
If you have any trouble finding the listing send me an email and I will get it for you.
Best regards,
Julia

Not true. You can get tinidazole at any pharmacy - or at least should be able to . I get mine at Safeway.

Yep, you can get it at any pharmacy. But I believe it's only available in the brand name (Tindimax) from regular pharmacies in the U.S. But it's the same thing.
Peace and healing, Annie

The reason there is some confusion on the availability of tinidazole (aka Fasigyn) is that the last few years it had to be hand compounded by special pharmacies (like Wellness Pharmacy at 1-800-227-2627) until a drug company was willing to put it back out on the regular market again. The original marketer had taken it off the market some years back--not for safety reasons, possibly profitability issues, don't know. It came back out the last year or so as "Tindimax", which is why you can now get it at most normal local pharmacies. The Tinidmax I get is a tablet (and insurance covers it), the hand compounded tinidazole I formerly got was in a capsule form, which is possibly more easily dissolved or digested. The form chosen might make a difference to those with poor digestion issues.
