Any of you guys get the chills? I have been off my IV abx for about 8 weeks now and I have had the chills every day for about a month. I check my temp and it is 97.0-98.0, so I know it isn't a fever. Every day I also feel like something is crawling up my leg or arm, almost like someone is tickling me with a feather. Am I alone?

Chills could be an indication of babesia. When my spouse was most symptomatic with this shaking chills would change to fever within about 10 or 15 minutes -- temperature could go from around 97.5 to around 99.5 in this same time frame.

Yeah, I would get teeth-chattering chills, particularly at night after eating supper, or when changing into my pajamas to go to bed. Even in the summer.
I got treated for 6 weeks for babs (Mepron/Zith combo). Didn't think I had babs, but guess what? No more killer chills.

I have not tested positive for babs but after my zith/mepron treatment my chills are much less. I still have them sometimes but not everyday like before. Check into the babs symptoms and see what you think. This may be your problem. It was for me. Take care, mimi

I too had killer chills that made my teeth chatter so hard I thought they would break. This happened even when the temp outside was 90 degrees. My temp was always too low and I never had even a slight fever. I tested negative for babs twice, so I just kept using my Samento, and after a year of treatment with it, I had almost no episodes of chills for several months now until I just took a week off from the Samento, which is something you are supposed to do once a year. During that week the chills came back big time. I am now back on Samento, still haivng chills, but they are fading fast since I started it again. My point is that I think Lyme can cause chills also. I too, get chills and they are getting much worse. Have Babesosis along with Lyme and other coinfections. Haven't begun tretment for the Babs but I'm ready to calm these chills down. Also, have the jerky, jumpy body jerks with these chills.............almost uncontrollable at times. Does anyone else experience the shaky, jerky, jumpy body feeling along with the chills??
I'm praying when my doctor begins treating the Babesoisis, that all these symptons will dissolve. Dalphia
