In July a fellow Lymie, Alexis Benkowski, started an online petition in order to get a census of the number of Lymies in this country.

The petition will be available to sign online for 12 months.

The intention is to supply this number of Lymies to US Senator Patti Murray to show our senate that Lyme isn't "rare".

The people signing this online petition can enter their names or sign as "Anonymous".

A support group leader said she knew of at least 1,800 diagnosed cases in Florida, alone.

The petition,representing all of the U.S., has only 521 signatures for the 5 months it's been running.

There are new people on this forum, and maybe longer-time posters, who probably don't know about this petition.

Here's a chance for us to contribute to attempts to gather data on the reality of Lyme prevalance in the U.S.
