These test results are coming from IgeneX labs.

For the IGG, I was positive for bands 41 and 58

For the IGM, I was positive for bands 41 and 66 as well as being indeterminate for band 34.

I know there is no 100% accurate test available, but what do you think from these results? I tested positve for babesia from a different lab. Thanks.

Bb specific bands are: 18 23 30 31 34 37 39 83 93

41 is not relevant in most cases.
58 is not specific and 66 is not specific.

So with that alone, I would say it is likely negative.

HOWEVER, 34 IS specific and thus this would indicate some Bb exposure. Hard to say if these bands would increase or decrease with treatment.

With Babesia tests positive as well, I would definitely start withing with a Lyme doctor for course of action.

Thanks for the response. My LLMD has started me on a regimen of anti-biotics and then he wants to draw more blood in a months time and look for the dead Lyme bacteria. I really wish there was a test that is 100% accurate [Smile]

I'm glad you have an LLMD. I tested positive for 41 on the IGM and IGG....also 66. The 31 and 39 were IND. I can tell you I have lyme, remember it doesnt always show up on these tests as positive. I was told usually the sickest dont test positive. I herxed on the abx so now my llmd as well as myself know i have lyme now.

Its a clinical diagnosis.

Many of us only test positive for band 41 and have LD.

It is important to remember that band 41 is not specific for Lyme. So the tests can clearly be negative and someone may still have Lyme, but I am not sure that a positive 41 is representative of anything truly meaningful.
