Help Ladies. Wondering why all of the sudden I am late!! Pregnancy test says NO so my guess is it has something to do with Abx.

I started Doxy (400mg/day) mid August through Early Novemeber. From around Mid September through last month I went from the normal 29 day cycle to a consistent 25 day cycle. Nov. 8th I was switched from Doxy to 4000 mg/day Ammox and now it seems my "friend" is nowhere to be found. Is this due to the Ammox?

I know people say that Lyme causes irregularily but I was very regular up until this late bit. Wondering if the high doseage of abx will cause a lack of cycle altogether.

If you have experienced anything like this could you please reply and tell me what abx you were on. Thanks!! (Sorry guys if you got stuck reading this.) OH and I did research this topic and couldn't find the specific answers I was looking for.

Hi Michelle!

I'd be more inclined to blame it on the Lyme than the specific type of antibiotic you're on...

Lyme's pretty famous for messing with your hormones - it sure messed with mine. Oh, it started out innocently enough - a missed period here and again, then bye-bye periods altogether. This began at 44.

I looked upon this as one of the (few) pleasant side effects of Lyme. Of course, I wasn't planning on any more children, either!
