I've had this back pain for 15 years on and off mostly on and have developed ankle pain the last 6 months. I'md denfinitely thinking this is lyme related.
Has anyone else had expereince with this and if so, what abx made a difference? I see my LLMD Monday so it would be nice to know what might work.

I have a lot of ankle pain, as well, with swelling in my ankles and fingers. So far I've been taking zithromax and doxycycline (since August) which hasn't changed my symptoms at all. The ankle and foot pain sort of feels like a 'charley horse' that won't go away.

I've had lower back and spine pain, coupled with ankele and foot pain for many years. Was diagonsed with Lyme and coinfections one month ago. I'm currently on Doxcycline but haven't had enough time as of yet on the medication for the pain to subside. I now contribute these pains to Lyme. Hope you get better. Dalphia

Could you describe the pains more specifically.

I have ankle/foot and wrist/hand pain. Advil is the best oral pain reliever for me, but not 100%. Yesterday, I pulled out an old parafin wax machine and gave it a try. It really helped. Total relief for a couple of hours.
Sometimes when my hand really swells and hurts, I put on a pair of isotoner gloves. Somehow the snug hugging effect makes it feel better. I'm trying everything under the sun to reduce the swelling but so far have not had much luck. Biofreeze worked really well on my hand. Took the swelling and pain right out.
I find nightshade veggies increase my swelling and pain so I am avoiding them.
