To all,
In order to clarify the gross mischaracterizations
described on the AP story this past Friday, and to do so in a way so
as
to not diminish our defense, my attorneys will allow me to make the
following remarks for your edification: in all 5 cases quoted by the
NC Medical Board in their published statement, the Jemsek Clinic
evaluated and advised patients of the possibility of TBI playing a
significant but unknown role in their Sx, and after suitable
evaluation, recommended therapy. In all cases, our patients Sx were
chronic, life altering, defied Dx by usual means and defied various
forms of empiric therapy. In no case was there any credibility or
evidence to support a diagnosis commonly known as STARI. You are
free
to share this much information with others as you choose. Thanks.

TBI = Tick Borne Infection (?)
Sx = Symptom
Dx = Diagnosis
Stari - not sure exactly

STARI = Southern tick-associated rash illness

It's very similar to Lyme Disease (a different strain) but the tick is a lone star tick, not a deer tick.

The spirochete is not Borrelia Burgdorferi. I think it's called Borrelia Lonestari.

God Bless Dr. J .My prayers are with him.He's a good doctor and has helped so many going out a limb for us.

He's kind and professional and this should NOT be happening.These witch hunts are crimminal and dispicable .
I do hope we can support him in any way we can.

STARI comes on slower than LD and is harder to get rid of.

If someone gets sick and is in a wheel chair in a week it is LD. If it takes 20 years and their life is a living hell--its STARI...probably half the people in the Southeast have STARI...

You can get LD from the deer tick and Lonestar tick...
