Hi all,

Ok i was treated six weeks with levaquin for bart, i herxed off of it the first week and seemed to feel a little better,

Now i have been off for a week and problems coming back. Swollen lymph nodes, restlessness, rages, irritable, stomach problems, aniety, this is still bartonella right.

I am starting a new combo this week and dont think it will help against it. I am on Iv ROCHEPHIN, WITH ORAL ZITHROW AND TINDIZOLE.Do you think i should be on something else for the bart. I dont want to go back through it again. I ve heard Riampfin works good. Stupid levaquin gave me tendon problems [puke]

I have HORRIBLE stomach problems that I think is related to Bart-which I tested positive for. I too couldn't tolerate the levaquin at all-my poor tendons! I was on Rifampin for a couple months. Cant say I really noticed a difference but it did kinda upset my stomach too. Its a double edge sword for me-stomach hurts from the Lyme but then it tends to hurt even more from the meds!

Sounds like you are on quite a bit already but I would check with your LLMD and see if he/she can add anything else for the Bart.

Yeah, I had the same thing happen with levaquin. Rifampin is working much, much better.

I also had a huge bart relapse when I started on a vasodilator (vinpocetine). So even when you find an abx that works for you, be prepared for unexpected relapses.
