Hi, i'm on mepron, zithro, artemisinin combi & keep getting waves of sickness (vomiting 4-5 times a day + diarrohea) - lasting 2-3 days each time. Does anyone else get this? Hi I'm not sure what you should do (except ring your LLMD if it continues), but thought I'd let you know my experience incase it was of any help.
I used to take one artemesia capsule and vomit (pre Lyme diagnosis) but eventually when I went onto Mepron, Zith and Artemesia I found I could tolerate it but was very nauseous and got dia.
I got rid of this by taking probiotics (hrs apart from the meds) and discovered I needed to eat more with it too protect my gut.
I hope this settles down for you

Thanks suki (emma). sorry you get sick too. i'm not the only one then!. I am on full dose 3 caps artemisinin, 2 tsp mepron & 2 caps zithro so maybe too much for my body? i'll try lowering the dose of art see if it helps. you mentioned probiotics -do you need to take these 2 hours apart from art even though it's only a herb? i do take probiotics, usually midday & night to avoid abx, but dont always leave 2 hour gap from taking art. hope you get better soon. Hi Surfbabe Don't worry I suffer from sickness too. But only since introducing artemisinin.When i'm sick I cant stomach anything or keep it down so I back off the abx for a few days til my stomach settles down, i have no other choice!. My sickness seems to come in cycles - every few weeks. I'm severely sick for a few days but then Im ok for another few weeks & then it happens again , I'm presuming it's the babesia or borrelia cycles? just got to keep persevering i'm afraid. i'm sure it will improve over time.- well that's what i'm hoping!

after I added artemisinin when taking mepron it made me want to barf too-
So I took artemisinin 4 hours after mepron- this worked for me-
Each spoon of mepron $20 way to expencive and effective to end up on floor--Jay--
