Sorry for the graphic nature of this post, but anyone get a really aggravating itching/burning around the anus?

I used to get this a lot until I stopped eating sugar; that was 3 years ago. Haven't had much sugar or itching but it's back in full force right now.

I started treatment of the Lyme 6 weeks ago with Samento and 3 rounds of Rife, and I've been herxing all December . . . Now this. Help!!!

Hi,

That can be a sign of a parasitic infection. I am not sure of the spicific kind that causes that kind of itching but I want to say roundworm. it can also be a sign of their die-off.

I had that problem early in my illness and now it's back with herxing. For me it has multiple causes: allergy(sugar, milk, yeast), candida overgrowth, even some viruses. Temporary relief can be had by putting a dab of ointment on t.p. and rubbing it into the itchy area. I alternate between antifungal (Lotrimin), antibiotic, and Benadryl cream until I find one that works.

Here's a related factoid from Doris Rapp, pediatric allergy specialist: If you have a dark brown area around the anus, it's a sign of serious allergy problems. Allergy antigens can be a big part of the solution.

thanks, azfan. i mentioned it to my llmd and he thought it might be an allergy to nuts, since that was the only dietary vice i succumbed to over the holidays.

i used to attribute the itch to candida, but i also tested + for babesia on Bowen so maybe it's the parasite? i hope it's the herx - i'm not up for more surprises right now, and i would like to be able to get a good night's sleep not kept up by burning and itching.
