Hey!!!!! I spent $170.00 dollors today at the doctors, plus $60.00 at CVS, plus $78.00 at the vitamin shoppe.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
No I'm not rich. I'm still fighting Lyme disease. Do you think if I had more money my fight would be easier? Next!
Well today Bill and I got good news. Dr. S says we will both be back to 100% healthy. I tried to get a time line. He seems to think Bill will be well before August (my suggested date) but didn't want to put a time line on anything. Who knows!
I guess it would be telling the future. Where's my crystal ball?
At least we have hope. Hearing him say those words "100%". So I have allot more to look forward too. but what is my time line?
I read that the amount of time you have been sick divide by two. You only need to be on meds that amount of time approximately. That would be three and a half friggin" years! I can fathom another year. this year went pretty quickly. Beyond that.............? ? ! ?
Bill's meds are staying the same. My meds have been bumped up and I was told to take immune boosters. So I should be experiencing more herxing!
I guess according to recent blood tests and thru interview Dr. S says Bill's immune system is in better shape than mine.
EVERYONE LOVES BILL! EVEN THE DOCTOR!
There were allot of people in Dr. S office today. People were actually sitting on the furniture conversating and hanging out.
Usually you just see people leaving when you're coming in and people see you leave when they come in.
It's "sick" but I love going to Dr. S.
I hope we all experience quick healing this year!

I like going to my appts. too. Even though expensive. It gives me hope and pumps me up for a few days.
Do you have any symptom free days at this point?

Sorry to hear you have to pay so much. We're lucky to have good insurance and that is taking care of all my abx. So we have to be treated half the amount of time we've been sick????!!! That means I only have 8 1/2 years more of treatment!!!!! Well, I guess if I get totally better, it will be ok...but I think after having been sick for 19 years there are some of those little buggers in there that aren't coming out!! Happy New Year and good luck to you and Bill!

Getting treated for half the amount of time you were sick did not work for me. Maybe this does work for others.

Just for the record the LLMD did not say treatment for half the time of sickness. I read that somewhere on this board. And probably misread or didn't comprehend correctly.
LC, Yes I have had symptom free days and even weeks.
Angel, Thank you. I know. I have co-pays for meds. and the LLMD is not covered at all. wow. 19 years. Die keets die!
Personally in my case it is a small price to pay. Becuase if I really do get to 100% I'll start bringing home the bacon $$$$.
We are way in debt becuase of this disease and me not working that much.

We are treating for coinfections and our whole body concentrating on and including teeth and gut.

Thats good news Heather :-) since we see the same llmd it gives me hope. I too like going there...not the drive to get there, but being there..... he is so calm too. Which helps, especially during the first few months of treatment, which i am in right now.
I hope you and your husband continue to improve :-)

Hi Heather!
Yikes - Flagyl 500 mg/2x a day. You're KILLIN me! I thought 250 twice a day was nasty. You are one trooper!
I join you in "Die Ketes Die!!!!"

I went up to 2.2 g of Flagyl per day for a while.
More commonly I take 1.5 g/day

Well,
You know I'll be posting about it. When I get the guts to actually start this regime.

Oh Heather! The amount of time I've been sick divided by 2 is NOT good news for me. It means I MAY be recovered just in time to die from something else! **Sighs**

Learned the hard way that the body has its own timeline. I learned to respect it for that and the good results happened.
In other words: I stopped pushing, I stopped calling the bugs names, stopped "killing the keets", I stopped stressing my system by overmedicating, and all such approaches. None of them worked for me. I don't think they work for anybody.
