Can you get an elevated ANA ( Anti Nuclear antibody ) from Lyme. My heboglobin was also elevated. I know some auto immune diseases can trigger a hifg ANA like Lupus

Our results confirmed the exquisite specificity of borreliacidal antibodies. We (8) and Sambri et al. (34) previously demonstrated highly specific borreliacidal antibodies using B. burgdorferi isolates which primarily reacted with borreliacidal antibodies in serum from patients with late Lyme disease sequelae. In the present study, we showed the high specificity of borreliacidal antibodies produced during early infection. When non-Lyme disease sera were tested, borreliacidal antibodies were detected only in one individual with antinuclear antibodies and in one asymptomatic individual with previously treated Lyme disease. The patient with antinuclear antibodies may have had Lyme disease, although the medical records could not be reviewed. The individual previously treated for Lyme disease could still have been infected. Preac-Mursic et al. Lyme arthritis (LA) may be confused with other rheumatic diseases, particularly in the absence of a history of erythema migrans (EM). We report the case of a 12-year-old patient who developed a large effusion of the tight knee joint. The titer for antinuclear antibodies was 1:80 and the test for rheumatoid factor was negative. - Investigations for antibody response to Borrelia burgdorferi demonstrated remarkable elevation of IgG antibody and no specific IgM response. These results were confirmed by immunoblotting reactivity with the bands p83/100, p58, p43, p41, p39, OspA, p30, OspC, p21, and p17. We subsequently learned that the child had suffered a tick bite followed by an EM 5 years earlier and had been treated with trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole at that time. The patient now was given intravenous ceftriaxone, 2 g daily for 14 days. In the absence of clinical improvement 3 weeks later a knee joint aspiration was performed which resulted in a positive polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test for B. burgdorferi DNA (OspA) in the synovial fluid. The patient fully recovered 2 months later without further treatment. The case indicates that the latency period between EM and onset of LA may last up to 5 years. In addition to serologic test methods, analysis of synovial fluid using PCR may be decisive for making the final diagnosis of LA. ____________________________

I believe that my "high" ANA was from Lyme...try doing a search...this has been talked about many times...you may find you answer there.

I have high ANA...and never thought it was 'just Lupus'. I think it triggers autoimmune diseases and once treated depending on severeity can treat them aswell.

Yes, Lyme can cause elevated ANA it can also cause a Malar rash that most quacks think is solely caused by Lupus. This is why up to 75% of the people diagnosised with Lupus actually have Lyme.
Lupus is a last resort diagnosis when all other tests and options have been exhausted it must be Lupus. Only certain places such as medical universities are even allowed to diagnosis Lupus. IMO Lupus is a pathogen that they just don't have a test for yet.
