I have been sick for four years. Docs in ireland didn't even think about Lyme. Have been going to a doc in UK and am currently on doxy and roxithromycin five days a week. In three weeks time I begin Flagyl three days a week. Not looking forward to it, but delighted to have found this site, as now I can get help from all u wonderful people.

Find TREEPATROL'S NEWBIE LINKS, print it off...8 pages, and mark the links as you read them. Many months of reading. Pick & chose important topics.
Print off Dr. B's 2005 lyme guidelines; 40 pages. He's our lyme literate MD, LLMD, here in the states for long-term antibiotics.
Best wishes to you on recovering your health again. I was misdx for 34 years...uffda.
Be sure to show specific topics to get replies; busy board of 3-4 FULL screens daily.
Limit paragraphs to 6-8 lines per/paragraph and DOUBLE space between them for us chronic lymies who can't read LONG, continuous paragraphs.
You will learn a lot here! Search function works great now too so you could look also before posting since same stuff is posted over & over...

Make Sure you read up on Flagyl before you take it-- Scence you say your not looking forward to it I guess you have read about it-- Im just making sure--

Welcome to this group. When I joined it was the beginning of my trip to getting better, the info here is invaluable!!
I am part Irish and just named my new kitten (orange tabby) Renny after an Irish character in some books I love about an Irish family.
I too long to travel to Ireland. People here will do their best to help you.

I'm so glad you can gleen support from so far away. Amazing technology! Are you seeinf a doctor in the UK?
I toured N Ireland and Republic of 3 yrs ago with my choir. We loved it! (In fact that is where I began to limp, in Omagh.) We took the last days around the Ring of Kerry. What an amazing country you have there.
