Hi Mark, and welcome!
Do you have an LLMD?
Normally, he will examine you, talk to you about your symptoms, and make a clinical diagnosis. He will decide with you what tests he would like to have run, usually through IGeneX or another very good lab specializing in tick-borne diseases.
Lyme is a clinical diagnosis and the tests are confirmatory only, since there's a good number of people who are "seronegative" -- they have confirmed Lyme but doggedly will test negative.
It's important to test for co-infections too, but your doc is best to advise you on which ones depending on where you live.
