Gigi, please EDIT/pencil icon your TOPIC title to include TEETH poll...thank you.

Also, please be more specific in other posts you create about subject you will be discussing in your posts. I've noticed during this past 18 months that you do NOT do this ... this would save us all so much time by knowing what the SPECIFIC SUBJECT is. Thanks for understanding.

1) had or still have amalgam fillings
2) did mother have amalgam fillings
3) have root canal(s)
4) worked or still work in a dental office

I had a lot of amalgam fillings as a teen when braces were removed. Had them replaced with composites in my 20's.
My mother did not have many if any as I recall
No root canals
Never worked in dental office

Posted by Andie333 (Member # 7370) on :

Have had amalgam fillings (3)
Mother has too and has always been in excellent health (age 80)
Have had 2 root canals (I was completely numbed; there's no way I would have done a James Frey!)

Never worked in a dentist's office

These seem like funny uncorrelative questions, but maybe that's just me. Despite that, i'm happy to answer

Andie

Bettyg, I am truly sorry if you do not have the time. So just scroll on by.

The subjects I talk about are usually all encompassing, all inclusive, - when you have a physical problem, it never involves just the teeth, or just a certain organ. I always talk about the whole body - as it is affected by exposures from things in us and outside of us. It so happens, the teeth play a major, a huge role in the way they are affecting most everything else going on in our body.

I also am fully aware that my posts are repetitive. You have been looking at this board long enough to note how many people have come and gone - an almost total turnover within few months.
Not mentioning the lurkers.

You are complaining to the wrong person, Betty. I am donating my time here, so humor me, please.

Take care.

GiGi, thanks for sticking around and contributing your time, support and wisdom. Tis true; most Lymies in remission fly the coup and don't look back.

btw. Is this poll for Dr. K or for your own curiosity?

Gigi:

I'm interested in what this is going to tell. Anyone over the age of 35 or 40, if they ever had a cavity, will have had a mercury amalgam. When did composites come about in this country? I only heard about them in the last 6 or 7 years.

Composites didn't even exist when our parents, or at least mine, got fillings.

Just curious...

Posted by GiGi (Member # 259) on :

Foggy, thank you.

No, Dr. K. does not need a poll. He has started to work with heavy metal toxicity in the chronically ill almost thirty years ago. Microbial infections were always involved in his approach. He does not need this poll. There is absolutely, absolutely no doubt in his mind and from his vast experience in treating very ill people that health is affected by the teeth. He says it clearly - "much disease starts in the mouth". That doesn't mean there are no other causes.

I am merely doing this poll for all the people to see and recognize the total picture.

Lyme Disease is not a disease caused just by a few microbial organisms. Some people are tortured by Lyme Disease and others are not, even though they carry the organisms in their body. That has become very clear. So in order to heal, we must figure out why this is so and approach it on a wide front. Dr. K. calls this the "The Seven Factors" I have often talked about.

The first one on the list of the Seven Factors is "toxicity" from all sources that is weakening our system and makes it susceptible to microbial invasions. The worse the toxicity, the easier their survival.

If we finally understand what contributes to our problems, we can do something about it.

That's all I have ever been trying to say.

Take care.

Questions:

1) had or still have amalgam fillings
2) did mother have amalgam fillings
3) have root canal(s)
4) worked or still work in a dental office

Some long answers:

1) Had 13, replaced them 2 yrs ago.
2) A few, not many
3) No
4) Assisted friend, as patient, when she sat for her Dental Board. Massive amounts of mercury vapor in lab, everywhere! No air filter protection for any of us hundred or so patients in this lab at the time. T

Following this, for the first and only time in my life, I bled from my kidneys.

Soon after, I started to develop more symptoms that were eventually diagnosed as MS.

Just relayed this info to my new neurologist a couple of weeks ago. "Bleeding from the kidneys isn't a symptom of MS," he told me. "Yeah, but it is a symptom of mercury poison," I responded. He didn't respond either to confirm nor deny--just got real thoughtful.

This neurologist is a researcher in DC. He is the only one I've ever been seen by who ordered a Western Blot for me. What he finally said about mercury is that his good friend has worked for the CDC for years, but has never proven the connection between amalgram and MS, so that he doesn't believe in it.

So, I told him, "I do and believe the denial of any evidence might just likely be political, not scientific." And then I asked him, "what about axonal transport, not just of mercury, but of micro-organisms?"

He did agree with that. And that's when he prescribed the Western Blot for me.

This is interesting, because from what I see, the main "yes" that all the answers have in common is amalgams, thus mercury poisoning. More so than bacterial infections (i.e. root canals). Considering what we know of mercury toxicity this makes sense. Unbelievable that the ADA would have poisoned us for so many decades like that.

Boomerang:

Mercury in amalgams is not a conspiracy theory. It exists. Your dentist will tell you it exists.

I'm quite sure that when they came up with this cheap way to "fill" someone's cavities years ago they truly believed this to be safe. However, it appears that this is not the case.

Pulling the wool over your eyes, does not make it go away.
