I have so many symptoms of Bartonella but do not recall any rash or stretch mark looking rashes.
I am starting Levaquin so I guess that might help. I was just wondering about this rash thing. thanks Michelle

In 2002, I tested positive for Bartonella, but did not ever have the "stretch mark" looking rash.
Also, I had very subtle symptoms, but thought they were symptoms of Lyme disease.

I've been told that the tests for Co-Infections are not any more reliable than the tests for Lyme,
so I was fortunate that my test was positive.

I took Levaquin along with Biaxin.
Be aware that, in some patients, Levaquin can cause painful tendonitis.
Be alert to the problem, don't push yourself with exercise & you should do fine.

Good luck with your treatment.

The same is true for me. I tested PCR positive for Bartonella (DNA in my blood being evidence of an active Bartonella infection). I've never had a Bart rash. It is hard for me to separate what symptoms may be from Bartonella vs. Lyme. I do have frequent burning on the bottom of my feet and searing pain in my sinuses, both of which I've seen on lists of Bart symptoms (but I think I've also seen them on Lyme symptom lists).

My LLMD is focusing on Babesia treatment right now so I guess Bartonella treatment is down the road for me.

I have positive tests for Bartonella and good response to Bartonella meds, but no rashes.
