Betty, I hope you are talking to your doctor about this. I think you should call him right away.
There are other problems than Lyme that may be causing this disorientation, etc. I know you are a much better typist than this. I am worried. Please get some help right away.
Hope you get an answer soon. Ann - OH

Vicki, Biting Back is from southern Iowa. Don't know what part of Iowa Betty is from. Vicki is near to Iowa City.

Hi, I just saw this post about Betty.
If you know her last name, you can do a search on the white pages, for Iowa.
Just a thought. I have no idea if the surname is common or not. If there are only a few, I would call some of them, might get a relative or something.
Hmmm, better probably to call the local police department, once you know the town.

Forgot to say that I don't log off...forget most of time & it's super nice to not have to type my password each time since I'm on here daily. Didn't know my name shows up somewhere.
WOW, guys I sure didn't mean to worry you all!
Police WERE just here; 2 nice, attractive young men. They said I was chatting on a board about how bad I felt, and they wanted to make sure I was ok. ARE YOU SUre? YES.
GOSH, I feel awful for shaking you all up!
When I typed that, I could barely stay awake type...fingers wouldn't cooperate & eyes would NOT stay open. That's when I began seeing blue stripes and I'd blink and it would be red stripes.
Last week had some 24-hr. period of NO SLEEP whatsoever although I have 2 samples of sleeping pills & rx ambien, "but NOT to take every night" so I haven't.
Laid down after this. When I got up symptoms:
completely dizzy, both legs were having tremers/quivering, woke up with a sore throat so gargled good with salt water & now the back of throat is RAW;
I also had a full body massage done yesterday, so the toxins are moving all over. YES, I DRINK WATER GALORE for flushing. When I went, I couldn't walk....left sciatic/thigh knots and 24 hr. stabbing pain.
A BIG HUG to you all for your concern and love that is 24/7 on this board. I love you guys! Thanks during a wierd day.
I'm going out for some AIR right now!

I went at one fire including the drive home 26 hrs and never had that happen what happened to you the most that happened to me was sleepy and slower moving but my mind was wide awake.

RN, yes, I had flagyl Wed. am..on it 1 wk. now.
Tree, yes, I'll call my PCP this morning & advise him of all I'd been thru.
Another wierd thing happened to me during the night before this all, I got LOST going to bathroom .. ended up in other bedroom not knowing where I was. uffda.
It was amazing to watch you all as a team to work together on locating me without a last name and city! You're each great investigators .. all with a piece of info.
You know I reread my beginning thread & couldn't believe this was ME either, and let the ramblings go as is. Guess I was calling for help and didn't know it.
God bless you all for caring & words of comfort. I belong to a very special group of lymies! Have a good day. I'll read/type for awhile & then back to bed to sleep THEN CALL THE DR. TREE AS I PROMISED.

Just saw this post amd am so glad I didnt see it till there was a follow up from Betty.
Before I starting getting about 5 hrs sleep at night I too had lots of blurry vision and looking at the computer was the worst. I had 3 different pairs of glasses and sometimes none of them worked.
I do think you should talk to your doc cuz prolonged lask of sleep can cause many chronic problems and you need to e sure that is the cause of your present symptoms.
Like everyone else said not everything is due to lyme but lack of sleep can cause our body to deteriorate and then lots of other stuff can happer.
Hope all get better soon.

Hello to my loving group of lyme freinds!
Had a good 3.5 hrs. of sleep after I left here at 8 am this morning. NO problems during the night.
Called our fire dept. to come for a carbon monoxide check....NORMAL; they checked our carbon detector & it showed NO ACTIVITY at all.
Called my PCP...yes Tree, I remembered! Nurse talked to dr.; GO OFF FLAGYL, and have co2 tested by fire dept. I asked nurse if dr. could called my LLMD & discuss taking me off what LLMD just put me on last wk. She'd try but no guarantees since my pcp is going on vacation Monday.
Called my llmd & waiting for a return phone call when he returns at 130 from lunch. Here until 2 pm when I go to nursing home every Friday noon to visit my elderly friends: 2 - 99 yr. olds, & 1-87 yrs...Mom's friend w/advanced alzheimer's disease. I play dominos w/2 who still can.
MRI/CT scan someone mentioned to me. I had CT done 5+ years ago. I've had ALL the annual blood work done. I'm now on glyburcide for my disabetes 2 med; was on diet & exercise until 1-06 when blood sugars too high for my pcp.
Can't remember if I've had MRI or not...I've been thru so much & memory keeps fading bad. Had for me to talk out loud & made a sensible sentence anymore....struggle for words.
Thanks for calling Troutscout to whoever he called; haven't got that far to track down ACTUAL person who knew me & who called local police.
But do I really have to let these 2 nice, attractive policemen go? My 2 firemen were young & attractive too. They asked hubby how he was; no problems at all.
Will get off here for now; will wait until for LLMD to call me back, but I doubt that. He's not been dependable to me for that; his staff is the pits on sending me my medical reports. Took 3 emails & 1 phone call last time.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY early to all my lyme friends out there; snuggle up with your honey and restore that love that made you inseparable when you made that commitment of yours....
I love each one of you; too bad my 3 brothers who fail to acknowledge ANY of my life-threatening illnesses can not find it in themselves to care just a "little" about me! I haven't been to our sibling xmas for 2 yrs. now.

Monica, I wondered abou that too..interaction. 2 weeks ago I completed a special survey for BC/BS thru CARESTEPS, independent hired. I completed detailed survey including meds I was on!
I couldn't just type med/dosage, it brought up ALL the meds for THAT one item, & I had to choose. Took forever with 19 meds!!
Anyway, they had results from survey & MED INTERACTIONS. Started reading about each of 2 meds mixing, but it was DRS. only language except or 2-3 sentences that come with EACH NEW MED giving specifics of reactions and side effects.
Ann, UFFDA, yes, I'm part Norwegian! Did you grow up by Decorah or Story City/Roland? Glad I provided you a laugh, you guardian angel you!

PUTTING AN ENDING ONTO THIS THRILLING STORY!
did a search on flagyl which i'll send to a newbie, and since i was on my hair-raising story, wanted to put an ending on it.
ran into my llmd 3-5 months ago, so asked him directly why he NEVER returned my phone call or detailed EMAIL as to my major herx on FLAGYL.
he told me he NEVER received either one! said he'd do some checking when he got back to the office as he'd had OTHER COMPLAINTS OF HIS NOT RETURNING PHONE CALLS!
in one email, i also complained about his RN; not helpful or friendly at all!
llmd never got back to me but i do hope he found the person for NOT giving him my messages so it does not happen to anyone else! Posted by AliG (Member # 9734) on :
Just curious Betty-
What if his RN checks his e-mail for him? If you complained about her, might she have become vindictive & deleted the message & then not given your messages to LLMD?
Chances are good that she could have been in charge of screening to see what Dr. needs to tend to, in what order.
If she is in a position to field her own complaints, that may make her feel beyond reproach.
Just a thought?
