My temp is always between 100.5-101.5, since I've been tracking it for almost 2 weeks. And what's also strange is that I feel generally ok (not like before lyme, but OK.)

LLMD had me tracking my temp daily because I noted a fever for several days last month and had night sweats for 3 nights (all during
a flare up of other symptoms which seems to happen monthly).

I've been on Doxy since Nov. I suspect a tick bit me late Aug. I function fine most days - although have a flare up of symptoms for a week or two each month.

LLMD said he may start to treat for Babesia. Mentioned he will probably stop Doxy, and start Zithromax and Malarone for 4-6 weeks.

Anyone had constant fever like this? I would appreciate insight on any of this. I am getting scared again.

Thank you so much

I ran a low grade fever like this for over a year in the beginning of my treatment. Given that I was also hypothyroid at the time, it probably should have counted as even more, since hypothyroidism usually lowers your temperature.

I think it just shows that your immune stystem is working to try to eradicate the infection. I wouldn't worry too much unless it gets much higher, or you start to have some other symptoms. It sounds like your doctor is following things well.

Hi Lymeornot

Babs made me run temps on and off for years.

It is good your docotor is going to start treatment for the babs.

Since I have started treatments for babs, I have noticed my body temp is running more and more on the normal side.

Take care

For me, that was/is babesia. One way to check it out is to try artemisinin supplements (Nutricology brand at www.vitacost.com or Vitamin Shoppe) and see if you flare. Try 2 100mg capsules 3x/day for a week. If you have babesia, you will probably have a temporary increase in symptoms, then a reduction. It will be unmistakable, so don't worry about how you'll figure out if you're flaring. But artemisinin is not enough to get rid of babesia on its own.

What has been working for me is mepron, ketek, artemisinin, and primaquine. If I had to throw out one, it would be the ketek, but you have to take some sort of macrolide antibiotic (like ketek, zithromax, or biaxin) with mepron to help prevent drug resistance. All three abx are super-hard on the liver, so it's helpful to take a lot of liver support, like milk thistle, alpha lipoic acid, N-acetyl choline (NAC), phosphatidylcholine (refined lecithin), and CoQ10.
