I was told by my llmd that a few docs are giving shots in the head which control headaches for several months. He mentioned Dr. G.B. a D.O. in PA. Has anyone had or heard of this? After 27 years of a headache a "shot in the head" sounds good to me:-)

What kind of shots? I've had prolotherapy [shots] in the base of my head. They do help migraines. Just make sure there's no steroids involved!

I get 145 units of botox injected into my head every 60 days to help relieve migraines. maybe that?

Got several shots from the Dr. you are speaking of. Very expensive and never worked.
I believe it was a kind of nerve block.
My head pain is very severe maybe that is why it did not help. I gave it 4-5 trys. It was suppose to numb the pain but it never phased me or the pain.
I would get one shot in atleast 3 trigger points They cost $65 a shot.
This is my own personal opinion and experience.
I, like you, would do anything to relieve the head pain.
If they had worked I would be happy to pay the expensive price.

I had botox injections in the forehead - didn't do a thing.

I had Procaine injections in my head for metals toxicity and headaches. Didn't do much for my symptoms, other than drain my over-picked wallet.

Thanks, all. I, too, have just started Topamax for the constant headache. Hope it works. Am titrating from 15mg./day to 25mg.2x/day. Hoping it works so I can continue with Bart and Babs meds.
