The right side of my throat is always painfull and it feels like something is there? Sometimes it hurts on the outside, I guess that would be my neck?

Does anyone else get this?

Is it lyme or a side effect from Abx?

Im not a dr, but i believe it is lyme.

when i was first bit in 2000 i had a one sided sore throat for about 6 months....dr would put me on abx...the day i would stop it would come back....he couldnt figure it out. My body was stronger back then and was able to fight it off better.....an ear nose and throat dr put me on augmentin...and that zapped it.

I had the feeling something was in my throat for over a year prior to my lyme diagnosis. I was always drinking water and trying to clear my throat to make it feel better. And anxiety made it worse.

With treatment for lyme, thankfully this sensation went away.

I've also had the pain in neck/ throat area on the right side. For me the lyme affects the cranial nerves and this is why I believe I have this type of pain. Lyme loves the cranial nerves.

Do you have also pain in the back right side of your neck, where your head connects? I do and I think it is the vagus nerve that is being affected. Which starts there and runs down in to the chest and area of the front of the neck you are talking about.

Do a search here for cranial nerves. Someone once did a good post on all of them and their functions.

Hopefully as your treatment progresses that awful sensation in your throat will go away.

Yes I have this also. Its the right side. My throat started to hurt in this area back in april of 04. There were area inside of the throat and also in the conective tissue. you can actually see inflamation drainage at times on the outside under the skin. This whole thing ebbs and flows on and off. I do think this could be part of the bart but not sure yet.

About for weeks after my 2 1/2 yr old was born I started getting sore throats on one side or both sides of my throat. Then I'd lose my voice all together. For days on end I would be hoarse. This went on and off for 10 months.

I went to two ENT Docs. One told me it was because I must have screamed to much when I was having my daughter. The other because I had gastric reflux. Neither one would take into consideration any of my other symptoms.

Some days I still wake up with hardly a voice. So my vote it's the Lymes.

Good Luck

lyme causes my throat to always be flemmy. Also, I have a weird pain that comes each time I breath in.

When cold air passes down my nose and throat, I feel pain in my ears, throat and neck. If i breath in through my mouth only, no pain.

Such a bizzare disease but it's our nerves freaking out.
